Ryan Proudfoot, Pastor
Ryan Proudfoot is one of the pastors at ACC Downtown. He is grateful to be married to Megan and father to Adelyn Joy and Lainey Hope. He moved to San Antonio after high school to play baseball at UTSA and has since called San Antonio home for 20 years. After time as a singer-songwriter and staff with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he ended up at Alamo Community Church where he served in several pastoral roles for 11 years. After years of feeling a burden from the Lord to plant a church, it became clear in 2020 that church would be in downtown San Antonio. ACC then sent Ryan off with a team to move downtown and start ACC Downtown ready to embrace the people and community there Jesus is already transforming.

Fun Fact: If Ryan could spend a day with anyone in the Bible (besides Jesus), it would be John the Baptist.
Israel Mendez , Pastor
Israel (Izzy) Mendez is one of the pastors at ACC Downtown. He is Sarah’s husband and Murphy’s dad. From morning coffee runs to karaoke car singalongs, they’re always having a good time. Izzy got his bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University Kingsville and his master’s at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a background in college ministry, including as a Baptist Student Ministry Director. Now, he serves with The Pastors Common, a Texas Baptist ministry, to resource and equip millennial and Gen-Z ministry leaders. He teaches theology at The Zbidnen Center for Biblical Leadership and enjoys opportunities to speak at various events for ministers and laypeople. He served at Alamo Community Church as an Associate Pastor with Ryan Proudfoot, where they began praying for God to lead them to plant a Gospel-centered, discipleship-focused church. In 2021, along with 25 individuals, they planted ACC Downtown. Since then, Izzy began working with the San Antonio Church Plant Network. From the Mariachis to the Fiestas at Market Square, to the Tejano Music and the Spurs: San Antonio, along with its culture and people, is home.

ASHLEE BELEW
DIRECTOR OF MINISTRIES
Ashlee is the Director of Ministries at ACC Downtown, but her favorite title is Mommy, given to her by her now 9-year-old who she parents in their home full of music, dancing, and food. While being a mom has played a huge role in her passion for discipling the next generation, it was volunteering with her local church’s kids ministry at 12 years old that began it all for her. While Ashlee’s worn many hats in the business world, she loves building people, teams, and processes for every organization or church she’s been a part of. Building something that is life giving, sustainable, and creates a path to help people know Jesus and flourish is a privilege she is beyond grateful for! Originally from Arizona and Frisco, Ashlee has called San Antonio home since she was 19 and appreciates the culture that loves family, history, and art. She joined Alamo Community Church seven years ago before helping plant ACC Downtown.
